In 2005 STEP was on the forefront of structuring a new data network. This data network improved network throughput and significantly reduced overall costs. During this period STEP was requested by several clients to provide management for this new data structure. STEP put together a portfolio of tools to not only provide the management, but provide detailed statistics that are not usually available in any type of network. STEP was able to put this together for $100/month/site above what raw carrier circuits were available for. This ended up providing clients with a robust redundant service at a fraction of their existing cost. The new managed services not only provides reliable and in most cases redundant services, but also provides the tools to provide details of traffic from each individual user and machine. This type of information enables a quicker resolution to problems and isolation of virus on PCs.
